A Surprise Visit From Mom!

Two weeks ago Andrea asked me to ride out to the airport with her to pick up her Aunt who was flying in from Costa Rica.  I agreed but I was annoyed to be going.  I just wanted to stay home and be comfortable.  I remember thinking, why can't she just go by herself.  I waited in the car for Andrea to go retrieve her from inside.  Once I had pulled the car around and gotten out, I went behind the car to help with her luggage... and there was my mom just standing there, smiling ear to ear.  I thought it was a dream, she looked so out of place.  It took a few moments to register that this was who we came to pick up not, in fact, Andrea's aunt.  Both my mom and Andrea we very proud to have pulled off such a big surprise.

The next week was occupied mostly with relaxing together, going to lunch, shopping, doing a few touristy type things.  I loved having her here and begged for her to stay with me until Christmas.

We tried Geisha coffee (super expensive fancy Panamanian delicacy)

Out to Gamboa for the cable tram ride.

We climbed to the top of this lookout.
